Q: Do I have to be a member to use your services?
A: No, I am very happy to work with everybody. If you are a member you will pay less but anybody can come and have a chat about a worry or problem and I will charge 12€ per half hour.
 
Q: Do I need to be able to visit you?
A: No. You can live anywhere in the world and if you have a house in France I will be able to communicate with you via email or pre-arranged skype calls.
 
Q: How do I pay you?
A: You can pay by cash or cheque and I will even show you how to complete your cheque.
 
Q: Can you help me with my income tax return?
A: I won't help you complete it personally but each year I arrange a workshop with appointments in the office with a local bilingual accountant and for a fixed price she will help you complete it.
 
Q: I think it maybe too complicated because I have shares and a business.
A: I will arrange a meeting at her office in Aulnay.
 
Q: I have a court appearance to make and I can't understand the procedure.
A: I would suggest you pay for a sworn translator to accompany you. I have a local contact.
 
Q: I would like to register my children for the local school but don't feel I have sufficient language to make myself understood. What do I do?
A: I will be pleased to accompany you as long as it's not too far from St. Jean d'Angely. I will discuss the price + travelling expenses with you.
 
Q: I need to find a dentist who speaks English. Do you know one?
A: Yes, I can give you names of English speaking dentists and doctors.
 
Q: I need to get a carte vitale but don't know what to do?
A: I will talk you through the procedure and if necessary accompany you to CPAM. I will also explain the top up medical insurance schemes and how it works.
 
Q: I want to improve my French and I am looking for lessons. Can you help?
A: Yes I can. I have a great bilingual teacher who comes in every Friday to give group lessons.
 
Q: I have received a letter I don't understand. Can I show it to you?
A: Yes you can. I will look at the letter and explain what it means. We will then decide if I can respond to it for you or I will advice you what to do.
 
Q: Can you telephone my bank for me?
A: No, due to the data protection act generally the bank will not speak to a third party but I can usually accompany you to the branch.
 
Q: I can't afford to pay my demand for tax. What do I do?
A: I can speak to your local tax office and explain you are in financial difficulty and ask if you can make smaller monthly payments.
 
Q: I am in the UK and my electricity supply has been cut off. Can you get me re-connected?
A: Yes, once you have brought your payments upto date I can arrange for the re-connection to be made as long as someone can be at the property.
 
Q: I need to make an appointment with a specialist doctor but can't communicate in French. Can you make the phone call?
A: Of course, I will be happy to make the call for you.
 
Q: Can you help me choose which insurance agent to choose?
A: I generally work with a number of insurance companies so I wouldn't suggest a particular one but would advise to get a better price you let one company quote for your house, car and health insurance. They will usually give you a better price.
 
Q: I am selling my house and going back to the UK. Can you help cancel my phone contract, house insurance etc.
A: Yes, as soon as I get the relevant paperwork from your notaire I can send cancellation notices to the relevant companies.
